Photo Editing Tips and Tricks

Picture
Once you get done shooting your photos the next thing you need to do is to get them off the camera and edit them. The ultimate goal is to get them to a format that you can share with others. This might include printing them or displaying them electronically. In these pages I will discuss what I have learned about getting photos off the camera, organizing them, editing them, and ultimately sharing them. Don't get discouraged if your first edits don't turn out perfect. It takes time to perfect the craft. It is art and there is no simple formula to run pictures through to get them to the end point.

Over time I will have tutorial pages for Photoshop Elements, Aperture, and Lightroom. I might also give some specific tutorials for the GIMP program if I get enough requests. GIMP is basically like a free version of Photoshop in a lot of ways. It is very powerful. But the menus are a little different, and some things are handled a bit differently.

If you have anything you are struggling with then you can make comments on the pages here and let me know. There are a lot of things I can write about, so I want to know what others are looking to learn so that I can get to popular topics.
