So these two photos are two different edits of the same photo. One of them I used more of a grunge look for the photo. The goal was to bring a grittiness to it. The other is a straight up color image that lets the environment and the subject make all the statement.
So for this photo compare you are going to judge between two photos of a model where the main difference in the two shots is the eyes. In one photo the model's eyes can be seen. In the other her eyes are looking down and closed. Which photo do you find grabs you more?
Well here is another pair of photos to judge. The first one, Classic Beauty, I did a more extreme edit for the coloring. I desaturated the photo more and tried to give it a very 50's look. My inspiration was getting it to look more "I Love Lucy" in style, or at least how I thought that might look. The other is more intense coloring, although with some vignetting still. So put in your votes and let's see which wins this one.
So I was working on some of the photos from my most recent shoot. I took one of my favorite photos from this shoot with Kim and decided to do retouching in Aperture, and then also retouching in Portrait Professional. The shot is pretty much as shot in studio, except for some clean up of the skin in post. As I was looking at the two different photos side by side I thought it would be a wonderful poll to put them side by side and see which one you all preferred. You can click on each photo to see a larger version of it.
So here is the deal with the two photos for this poll. I was at a lake house for vacation. I went out in the boat and did some macro photography. I got some amazing photos of a pair of dragonflies. I have two that are quite different in the framing. The subject is still the dragonflies. But in one there is a flower in the foreground that is much more prominent than in the other. So which do you like better? And feel free to look below the poll to make comments on why you like the one you do. If you want to get a closer look at either of the photos click on it and it will get bigger. :-)
For this poll I decided to use two photos from a retro shoot I recently did. The first of the two photos is full color. The second one I decided to do more of a muted color look to make it look a bit more like a vintage 50's photo. So which do you like and why?
Here is the newest photo poll
The photo polls will now allow both voting and comments on the photos. Feel free to be honest about your feelings on the photos. I just ask that you be polite and watch the adult language since there very well might be children viewing the polls too.
This pair of pictures was done for a contest with an assigned topic of bubbles. I used two different methods of doing the bubbles. I have my favorite, but I am curious as to which is yours.
Hi, I am Rusty, and I am your photography zen master. Well OK.. maybe I am not that great, but I know quite a bit. And my goal is to share my experience and knowledge with others. I love comments and suggestions for things to put on the site. What do you want to learn about? Just ask.
